Informative Design of Educational Material for Young People about Violence in Relationships
The first love shapes one’s life. In teenage years, romantic and sexual experiences play a major role. They should create positive memories for everyone. However, it repeatedly happens that girls and boys encounter emotional and physical violence in their first relationships and suffer from the consequences for a lifetime. This is not an unusual phenomenon: about two thirds of young people experience violations of boundaries in their relationships. For instance, it is assumed that violence in relationships is as widespread among teenagers as it is among adults. My project »Cloud 2« offers informational material that addresses young victims, perpetrators and the social environment at an early age to educate them in an age-appropriate and emotional way about violence in teenage relationships. By sharing personal thoughts it communicates on an empathic level. The graphic representations offer a space for identification and encourage the participants to question their own behaviour.
